Box 607 Scottsville, VA 24590 RE: Board of Zoning Appeals Action Variance Application, VA-99-19 Tax Map 131, Parcel 16 Dear Ms. Dorrier: The Albemarle County Board of Zoning Appeals heard your variance application, VA-99-19, at their meeting on Tuesday, August 3, 1999. The Board ruled (5:0) to approve your variance request subject to the following conditions: 1) Approval is limited to an apartment within the existing garage footprint. Any expansion of the area of the apartment will require amendment of this variance. 2) That approval does not anticipate that a future variance will be granted for any subdivision which would require setbacks less than those stated in the County Zoning Ordinance. This variance approval allows relief from Section 10.4 of the Albemarle County Zoning Ordinance to allow the construction of a garage apartment by reducing the separation between the house and garage from 50 feet to 26 feet.
