RE: The Barry Building at Berkmar Crossing
As requested, we are providing the attached information to accompany our
application to the Board of Zoning Appeals for a variance in the mounting height of a
building-mounted sign on the east elevation of The Barry Building at Woodbrook
Crossing:
1. A copy of the plat of Woodbrook Crossing. The subject building has recently
been completed on Lot 2.
2. A copy of the layout page provided by the proposed sign vendor, Hightech
Signs. The sign letters read "THE BARRY BUILDING". The sign specs are as
follows:
a. Twelve inch (12") high, reverse-channel aluminum letters.
b. The entire sign is approximately two hundred and three inches (203")
long.
c. The letters are neon-lighted from the rear, transformer powered, and
create a very similar appearance as the signs found in the Barracks Road
Shopping Center.
d. The letter faces are .125 gauge aluminum, the sides are .063 guide
aluminum and the backs are 3/16" clear poly-carb plastic.
e. The letters will be individually mounted to the face of the building
and controlled by a photo cell.
3. I have attached several copies of a color brochure prepared as a marketing
piece to show the general quality of the building and its design. The elevation
shown is the west elevation.

4. I have also attached a few copies of the east elevation. Please note that I
have marked the approximate location of the proposed sign. We are anxious to
mount the sign in the most visually-appealing location, which to us is the
location shown on this drawing and on the sign company layout.

information to support our request.
