Thanks for sending your letter. I passed along the copy I received earlier today to the Committee (and to Mariah) for their consideration. Mariah and I have been discussing this in detail. Our staff report does not recommend that the Committee find that the proposal as it exists is appropriate in the district, but asks them for guidance on whether it is (1) appropriate as-is, (2) capable of becoming appropriate with specific changes, or (3) inherently inappropriate. We let the applicants know from the beginning that this would be a serious question for them to deal with. Let me know if you need any other information. --Scott From: David <davidvr@earthlink.net> Sent: Tuesday, September 21, 2021 12:14 PM To: Scott Clark <Sclark@albemarle.org> Subject: Ag-Forestal District CAUTION: This message originated outside the County of Albemarle email system. DO NOT CLICK on links or open attachments unless you are sure the content is safe. Dear Scott, I understand the Reclaimed Hope Initiative special use permit for the development of a camp in the Hardware River District is due to be presented to the committee at the next meeting. I have attached some of my thoughts. I hope that you will read them and copy the other committee members before the meeting. I also sent some very base objections to the permit to Mariah Gleason- I assume she shares her info with you. If not, let me know and I'll find a copy to forward. I note that you have a lot of renewals for districts. The ten year term made a great deal of sense to me. Stay well. David van Roijen
