Dear Mr. Bukrim:
This letter is to inform you that your variance application, VA-2000-010, was heard by the
Albemarle County Board of Zoning Appeals on April 4, 2000. The Board ruled (4:0) to approve
your request subject to the following conditions: This variance is limited to the home
constructed in building permit 99-1807 SF. Any additions shall either comply with the ordinance
or will require an amendment of the variance.
This approval allows relief from Section 10.4 of the Albemarle County Zoning Ordinance to
reduce the front setback from 75 to 62 feet to allow an existing doublewide mobile home to
remain as built.
When we visited your property, we noticed that a storage building has been installed. Please be
advised that it is necessary to obtain a building permit, primarily for zoning setback. It appears
that the storage building may not meet setbacks. It is required to be no closer than 75 feet from
the state road right-of-way, 25 feet from the driveway easement and 6 feet from the side
property line. Please contact our office and speak with a zoning inspector to discuss how and
when this issue will be resolved.
