Dear Ladies and Gentlemen:
This letter is to notify you, as adjoining property owners, that during the meeting of the Albemarle
County Board of Zoning Appeals on August 1, 2000, the Board heard staffs request for indefinite
deferral of the owner's application for VA-2000-021. This item will now be heard at the regular
monthly hearing on Tuesday, September 5, 2000 at 2:00 p.m. The property is described as tax
map 78 parcel 14A, zoned Highway Commercial, Rivanna Magisterial District. The request is as
follows:
The applicant requests relief from Sections 4.15.07.5 and 4.15.12.6 of the Zoning Ordinance
to: 1) Increase in sign size of 7 sq ft to allow the existing Mercedes sign of 93 sq ft to remain;
2) Additional increase of 45 sq ft to allow a new Saab sign; and 3) Variance to allow the new
wall sign on a side that has no road frontage.
The Board of Zoning Appeals will hold the public hearing on Tuesday, September 5, 2000, at 2:00
p.m., in Meeting Room 241, Second Floor, County Office Building, 401 McIntire Road,
Charlottesville, Virginia.
This application is available for your review in the Albemarle County Building Code and Zoning
Services Office, Second Floor, 401 McIntire Road, Charlottesville, Virginia.
