Dear Mr. & Mrs. Harris:
We are unable to process your variance application for the December 51h Board of Zoning Appeals
meeting. The application does not provide information which is necessary to meet the legal
advertising requirements. Once you submit the information requested, we will schedule your
application. If you submit the necessary information by December 4`h, your application will be
heard on January 2, 2001.
Please clarify if the proposed garage will be attached to the existing house or if it will be
freestanding. The setbacks are: 6 feet side and rear and 75 feet from the edge of Route 664
easement or right-of-way. The 6 foot setback could be increased if there are conflicts with existing
easements. If the garage will be attached to the house, the setbacks are: 25 feet side, 35 feet
rear, and 75 feet from the edge of Route 664 easement or right-of-way.
In order for your application to be complete, please submit the following:
1. A written statement as to whether the garage will be attached or detached.
2 Setback distance and statement as to which yard setback will not be met For example, the
proposed garage will be setback 40 feet from the front.
3. Complete the 3 criteria on the application form to address the setback variance request. (Copy
attached)
If this garage will in any way expand the already existing violation on the property, the variance and
building permit may be delayed. You are advised to resolve the existing garage violation as soon
as possible.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call.
Sincerely,
,i/sy)
