Dear Ladies and Gentlemen:
This letter is to notify you, as adjoining property owners, that Mr. & Mrs. Thomas Harris,
Jr. (owners/applicants) have made application for VA-2001-019. The property is described
as tax map 8, parcel 35A, zoned Rural Areas, White Hall Magisterial District. The request
is as follows:
The applicant requests relief from Section 4.1.3 of the Zoning Ordinance to allow a
variance of 41,915 square feet to allow approval of a third establishment on 1 lot of
138,085 square feet. The Zoning Ordinance requires 60,000 square feet per
establishment or per dwelling. The new commercial (public garage) would be the
third and requires 180,000 square feet.
The Board of Zoning Appeals will hold the public hearing on Tuesday, October 2, 2001, at
2:00 p.m., in Meeting Room 241, Second Floor, County Office Building, 401 McIntire Road,
Charlottesville, Virginia.
This application is available for your review in the Albemarle County Building Code and
Zoning Services Office, Second Floor, 401 McIntire Road, Charlottesville, Virginia.
