Dear Ladies and Gentlemen:
This letter is to notify you, as adjoining property owners, that John or Veronica
Matthews, (owners/applicants) have made application for VA-2001-018. The property
is described as tax map 060, parcel 36A, zoned R-1, Residential/ Entrance Corridor
Overlay District, Jack Jouett Magisterial District. The request is as follows:
The applicant requests relief from Section 21.7 (from 23.3) of the Zoning Ordinance to
allow the reduction of commercial setback for structures adjacent to residential districts
from 50 feet to 5 feet to allow an existing residential quadraplex to remain when the
property is rezoned from R-1 to Commercial.
The Board of Zoning Appeals will hold the public hearing on Tuesday, October 2, 2001,
at 2:00 p.m. The hearing will be held in meeting room 241 on the second floor of the
County Office Building at 401 McIntire Road, Charlottesville, Virginia.
This application is available for your review in the Albemarle County Building Code and
Zoning Services Office, Second Floor, 401 McIntire Road, Charlottesville, Virginia.
