This letter is to notify you, as adjoining property owners, that Steven & Marcia McAlpine
(owner/applicant) have made application for VA-2001-022. The property is described as tax map
059, parcel 4D, zoned Rural Areas, Samuel Miller Magisterial District. The request is as follows:
The applicant requests relief from Sections 10.4 of the Albemarle County Zoning Ordinance to
reduce the side setback from 25 to 15 feet to attach an existing garage to the existing house with an
enclosed walkway.
The Board of Zoning Appeals will hold the public hearing on Tuesday, December 4, 2001, at 2:00
p.m. The hearing will be held in meeting room 241 on the second floor of the County Office Building
at 401 McIntire Road, Charlottesville, Virginia.
This application is available for your review in the Albemarle County Building Code and Zoning
Services Office, Second Floor, 401 McIntire Road, Charlottesville, Virginia.
