This letter is to notify you as an adjacent property owner of the above -referenced petition described as follows:
PROJECT: AFD202100007 Conner Free Union District Addition
Notice is hereby given that the Albemarle County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to receive public
comments regarding the addition of the following parcel to the Free Union Agricultural and Forestal District (Albemarle
County Code § 3-215) on November 9, 2021, at 6 p.m. The parcel proposed for addition is Tax Map 7 Parcel 26B (51.98
acres, located at 2869 Boonesville Rd). The Albemarle County Agricultural and Forestal Districts Advisory Committee has
recommended approval of this addition.
A copy of the application is on file in the office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors and in the Department of
Community Development, County Office Building, 401 McIntire Road, Charlottesville, Virginia. To review the application,
contact the office between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., or telephone 434-296-5832. Ext 3249.
Agricultural and Forestal Districts are voluntary conservation districts that landowners can join to support the County's
efforts to protect the Rural Areas. Land in the Districts is subject to limitations on subdivisions and some other
development activity. Your property is not in the District and is not subject to those limitations, but is adjacent to the
District. You are receiving this letter to notify you of a public hearing on the proposed addition.
This petition will be reviewed and public comment received according to the following public hearing schedules:

The Albemarle County Planning Commission will meet Tuesday, November 9, 6:00 p.m.
This will be an electronic meeting, held pursuant to Ordinance No. 20-A(16), adopted November 4, 2020.
The staff report and agenda will be posted to www.albemarle.org/government/community-development/advisory-
boards/planning-commission as soon as it is available and approximately one week prior to the meeting date. Information
on how to access this virtual meeting, and how to comment on the application at this meeting, can be accessed via the
County's Calendar for the meeting date located at www.albemarle.org/community/county-calendar. Speakers are
encouraged to sign-up in advance of the meeting by emailing the Planning Commission Clerk at cshaffer2@albemarle.org
and providing your name and what item you wish to speak to. Comments may also be submitted to Planning Commission
members directly at planninecommission@albemarle.org or by letter sent to the address in the letterhead of this
correspondence.

After the Commission has taken action on the proposal, a second public hearing will be scheduled for the Board of
Supervisors. A letter of notification of the Board hearing will not be sent to adjoining owners. However, Board agendas are
available on the County website: httos://albemarle.legistar.com/Calendar.aspx
