The alley, as designed, shall serve (6) single family detached houses and (8) single family attached houses. The alley has been designed to meet the private roadway standards. The roadway is proposed to be 20' from f/c to f/c, CG-2 curbing, and the asphalt pavement section shall be a minimum 8" stone and 2" pavement. The alley will also include a 30' radii turn -around at the end of the alley, meeting the requirements for a low -volume roadway. The horizontal and vertical curves and landing areas meet the requirements of a 20 mph private roadway, and the intersection sight distances meet the VDOT and county requirements.
