Hi Ryan,
The plat has been signed and approved and is ready for pick-up in the bin in the lobby of the CDD office. There is a cover
sheet attached to it with your name on it.
Please be sure to have Bob Coleman sign the signature panel on the plat before you take it to the clerk's office for
recordation. They won't record the plat unless the surveyor's signature is on the plat.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks,

Hi Francis,
Hoping you are well, sir. It's been a month since we sent our BLA
into the county for review (was under the impression the
process typically takes up to three weeks). Would you happen to
know where we are in this process? The neighbor who's on the
BLA officially sells his property in 4 days and we'd like to not
have to repeat the process with the new owner.
Hope to talk soon!

Mariah,
Mr. Weigand is asking about doing a BLA that will reduce the
width between property lines to 17.5' to allow for the driveway
access to not be as sharp at the end before it opens up to his
house. He and the surveyor were concerned that it was less
than 20. 1 am not aware of anything that prohibits this and see
that the travel way is there on his property. I do not know why
this BLA could not happen. Looking for your thoughts on this.

Hi Francis,
Hoping you are well, sir. It's been a month since we sent our BLA
into the county for review (was under the impression the
process typically takes up to three weeks). Would you happen to
25
know where we are in this process? The neighbor who's on the
BLA officially sells his property in 4 days and we'd like to not
have to repeat the process with the new owner.
Hope to talk soon!

Thanks for your help.

Hi Francis,

Hoping you are well, sir. It's been a month since we sent our BLA into the county
for review (was under the impression the process typically takes up to three
weeks). Would you happen to know where we are in this process? The neighbor
who's on the BLA officially sells his property in 4 days and we'd like to not have
to repeat the process with the new owner.
Hope to talk soon!

Mariah,
Mr. Weigand is asking about doing a BLA that will reduce the width between
property lines to 17.5' to allow for the driveway access to not be as sharp at the
end before it opens up to his house. He and the surveyor were concerned that
it was less than 20. 1 am not aware of anything that prohibits this and see that
the travel way is there on his property. I do not know why this BLA could not
happen. Looking for your thoughts on this.
Thanks for your help.

Hi Ryan,
That is correct. The signatures for both property owners need to be notarized. There are two separate notary panels on
the cover sheet where the notary can sign their name and place their stamp.

Mariah,
Mr. Weigand is asking about doing a BLA that will reduce the width between
property lines to 17.5' to allow for the driveway access to not be as sharp at the
end before it opens up to his house. He and the surveyor were concerned that it
was less than 20. 1 am not aware of anything that prohibits this and see that the
travel way is there on his property. I do not know why this BLA could not
happen. Looking for your thoughts on this.
Thanks for your help.

Hi Ryan,
I have the two copies of the plat that you submitted earlier this month. I was going to have them signed today by my
colleagues that are authorized to sign plats, but we noticed a problem. The hard copies we received are not properly
notarized (please see the attached PDF). The notary panels on the first sheet do not list the notary's name, nor do they
have the notary's stamp, which is a requirement of state law.
Can you bring me one copy of the plat that has owner signatures and notary signatures/stamp? I cannot approve the
plat until we have that.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks,

All you need to do is submit two hard copies of the plat with the property owner
signatures notarized. We will then sign them and return one copy to you, we keep the
other for our records. Since these are the signature copies, you can't submit them
electronically. You can come into the Community Development office to drop them
off, or have them mailed, whichever you prefer. Dropping them off is probably the
safest given how things are going with the mail recently.

Thanks for reaching out. The County received this application back on March 22, and
it doesn't appear we have finished the review yet/sent any comments to you. If one
of the properties is being sold next week and the ownership changes occur as you
described below, then yes, the plat will need to be revised to show the new
ownership and have them sign the plat before the County could approve it.
So here's what I suggest: since we haven't finished review of the plat yet, it's unlikely
that the plat will be able to be signed, approved, and recorded prior to next
Tuesday. I am totally fine with allowing you to submit a revised plat under the same
application number, SUB202100054, and not have to pay a new fee. We will review
the revised BLA once you submit it and then issue you any comments and/or
approvals for the plat at that point.
If you would like to proceed under this scenario, please send the revised plat directly
to a via email, and I will handle it from there.

Thanks all. My guess is if the property is switching hands as of Tuesday we will have
to redo this process all over again with the new land owner. If this is the case, seeing
where this process is now I would greatly appreciate not having to refile for an
additional fee in the coming weeks once we make contact (assuming this now going

of the plat once it has been approved and recorded at the clerk's office, but you should contact your lender directly to
verify what they need from you.

Hi Ryan,
Sorry it's taken me a couple of days to respond. I have been doing field visits for the past couple of
days.
All you need to do is submit two hard copies of the plat with the property owner signatures
notarized. We will then sign them and return one copy to you, we keep the other for our
records. Since these are the signature copies, you can't submit them electronically. You can come into
the Community Development office to drop them off, or have them mailed, whichever you
prefer. Dropping them off is probably the safest given how things are going with the mail recently.

Hi Ryan,
Thanks for reaching out. The County received this application back on March 22, and it doesn't
appear we have finished the review yet/sent any comments to you. If one of the properties is being
sold next week and the ownership changes occur as you described below, then yes, the plat will need
to be revised to show the new ownership and have them sign the plat before the County could
approve it.
So here's what I suggest: since we haven't finished review of the plat yet, it's unlikely that the plat
will be able to be signed, approved, and recorded prior to next Tuesday. I am totally fine with
allowing you to submit a revised plat under the same application number, SUB202100054, and not
have to pay a new fee. We will review the revised BLA once you submit it and then issue you any
comments and/or approvals for the plat at that point.
If you would like to proceed under this scenario, please send the revised plat directly to a via email,

Thanks all. My guess is if the property is switching hands as of Tuesday we will have to redo this
process all over again with the new land owner. If this is the case, seeing where this process is now I
would greatly appreciate not having to refile for an additional fee in the coming weeks once we make
contact (assuming this now going hold true). Thoughts?

Mr. Weigand is asking about doing a BLA that will reduce the width between property lines to 17.5'
to allow for the driveway access to not be as sharp at the end before it opens up to his house. He
and the surveyor were concerned that it was less than 20. 1 am not aware of anything that
prohibits this and see that the travel way is there on his property. I do not know why this BLA
could not happen. Looking for your thoughts on this.
Thanks for your help.

to allow for the driveway access to not be as sharp at the end before it opens up to his house. He
and the surveyor were concerned that it was less than 20. 1 am not aware of anything that prohibits
129
this and see that the travel way is there on his property. I do not know why this BLA could not
happen. Looking for your thoughts on this.
Thanks for your help.

Just dropped off the paperwork, Cameron. Sorry for the delay! Let me know if you require anything additional from me.
One last question. Do I wait for approval from you before contacting my mortgage provider?

All you need to do is submit two hard copies of the plat with the property owner signatures
notarized. We will then sign them and return one copy to you, we keep the other for our records. Since
these are the signature copies, you can't submit them electronically. You can come into the Community
Development office to drop them off, or have them mailed, whichever you prefer. Dropping them off is
probably the safest given how things are going with the mail recently.

Okay, I finally have the new property owners blessing and signed revised plat, see attached. We would

Hi Ryan,
Thanks for reaching out. The County received this application back on March 22, and it doesn't
appear we have finished the review yet/sent any comments to you. If one of the properties is being
sold next week and the ownership changes occur as you described below, then yes, the plat will need
to be revised to show the new ownership and have them sign the plat before the County could
approve it.
So here's what I suggest: since we haven't finished review of the plat yet, it's unlikely that the plat will
be able to be signed, approved, and recorded prior to next Tuesday. I am totally fine with allowing
you to submit a revised plat under the same application number, SUB202100054, and not have to pay
a new fee. We will review the revised BLA once you submit it and then issue you any comments
and/or approvals for the plat at that point.
If you would like to proceed under this scenario, please send the revised plat directly to a via email,
and I will handle it from there.

Thanks all. My guess is if the property is switching hands as of Tuesday we will have to redo this
process all over again with the new land owner. If this is the case, seeing where this process is now I
would greatly appreciate not having to refile for an additional fee in the coming weeks once we make
contact (assuming this now going hold true). Thoughts?

Hi Francis,

Hoping you are well, sir. It's been a month since we sent our BLA into the county for review (was
under the impression the process typically takes up to three weeks). Would you happen to know
where we are in this process? The neighbor who's on the BLA officially sells his property in 4 days and
we'd like to not have to repeat the process with the new owner.
Hope to talk soon!

If you would like to proceed under this scenario, please send the revised plat directly to a via email, and I will handle it
from there.
Let me know if this clears things up or if you have any further questions. Thanks,

Thanks all. My guess is if the property is switching hands as of Tuesday we will have to redo this process all over again
with the new land owner. If this is the case, seeing where this process is now I would greatly appreciate not having to
refile for an additional fee in the coming weeks once we make contact (assuming this now going hold true). Thoughts?

Ryan,
I have copied Cameron Langille on this email. The application # is SUB2021-00054. It appears to have been assigned
to a planner that has recently left the County. The Planning Division will have reassigned the applications, and I am
copying Cameron here to assist you on where this application is and who is the newly assigned planner.

Hi Francis,
Hoping you are well, sir. It's been a month since we sent our BLA into the county for review (was under the impression
the process typically takes up to three weeks). Would you happen to know where we are in this process? The neighbor
who's on the BLA officially sells his property in 4 days and we'd like to not have to repeat the process with the new
owner.
Hope to talk soon!

Hi Francis,
I see no issue with this either. I think the 20-21ft travelway was simply drawn/established all the way through in the
subdivision plat as an orderly configuration.
Thanks,
Mariah

Mariah,
Mr. Weigand is asking about doing a BLA that will reduce the width between property lines to 17.5' to allow for the
driveway access to not be as sharp at the end before it opens up to his house. He and the surveyor were concerned
that it was less than 20. 1 am not aware of anything that prohibits this and see that the travel way is there on his
property. I do not know why this BLA could not happen. Looking for your thoughts on this.
Thanks for your help.
Francis

Good morning Cameron,
Okay, I finally have the new property owners blessing and signed revised plat, see attached. We would like to move
forward as previously discussed. Please let me know if you require any additional information from me. I will let my
lender know as well. Thank you and if you need a more immediate response text or call my cell @ 517.449.4457.
Again - really appreciate your help!

Hi Ryan,
Thanks for reaching out. The County received this application back on March 22, and it doesn't appear we have
finished the review yet/sent any comments to you. If one of the properties is being sold next week and the ownership
changes occur as you described below, then yes, the plat will need to be revised to show the new ownership and have
them sign the plat before the County could approve it.
So here's what I suggest: since we haven't finished review of the plat yet, it's unlikely that the plat will be able to be
signed, approved, and recorded prior to next Tuesday. I am totally fine with allowing you to submit a revised plat
under the same application number, SUB202100054, and not have to pay a new fee. We will review the revised BLA
once you submit it and then issue you any comments and/or approvals for the plat at that point.
