HomeMy WebLinkAboutSP200700047 Legacy Document 2008-02-11OF / Lgh,, �'IRGIN�P COUNTY OF ALBEMARLE Department of Community Development 401 McIntire Road, Room 227 Charlottesville, Virginia 22902-4596 Phone (434) 296-5832 Fax (434) 972-4012 March 11. 2008 Judith Baker 1400 Owensville Road Charlottesville, Va 22901 RE: SP2007-00047 Graceworks Expansion (Sign # 56) Tax Map 58, Parcels 82, 76B and 77 Dear Ms. Baker On February 13, 2008, the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors took action on SP #2007- 00047 to allow an amendment of SP 2001-24 to expand after school care from two (2) days/week to four (4) days/week and increase enrollment on three parcels totaling 58.469 acres, Tax Map Parcels 58-82, 58-76B and 58-77, in the Samuel Miller District. This special use permit was approved based on the following conditions: A maximum of fourteen (14) children shall be allowed on the site at any time; A minimum of two (2) adults shall supervise the children at all times; The children shall be transported to and from the property as a group. The pick up and drop off of individual children shall not be permitted except for medical, family and weather-related emergencies; The days of operation shall be limited to four (4) days per week, Monday through Thursday, and the hours of operation shall be limited to 2:30 P.M. to 5:30 P.M. on the days of operation; Expansion of the facilities for the private school shall require an amendment to this special use permit; and Within thirty (30) days after the date of approval of Special Use Permit 2007-00047, the applicant shall submit a schematic concept plan of the property (the "Plan") in a form acceptable to the Director of Planning that shows the existing and proposed locations of the improvements and activity areas of the school. The improvements, scale and location of the improvements, and activity areas authorized by Special Use Permit 2007- 00047 shall be in general accord with the Plan. However; the Zoning Administrator may approve revisions to the Plan to allow compliance with the Zoning Ordinance. Please be advised that although the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors took action on the project noted above, no uses on the property as approved above may lawfully begin until all applicable approvals have been received and conditions have been met. This includes: • compliance with conditions of the SPECIAL USE PERMIT; and • approval of a ZONING COMPLIANCE CLEARANCE. In the event that the use, structure or activity for which this special use permit is issued is not commenced within twenty-four (24) months from the date of Board approval, it shall be deemed abandoned and the permit terminated. The term "commenced" means "construction of any structure necessary to the use of the permit."
