Dear Ladies and Gentlemen:
This letter is to notify you, as adjoining property owners, that Kenton and Evelyn Gardner
(owners/applicants) had requested a deferral of their application VA-2002-022, which was
to be heard on October 1, 2002. This item will now be heard at our public hearing on
Tuesday, November 12, 2002, at 2:00 p.m. in meeting room 241. The property is
described as tax map 120, parcel 59B, zoned Rural Areas, Scottsville Magisterial District.
The request is as follows:
The applicants request relief from Section 10.4 of the Zoning Ordinance to reduce
the front yard setback from 75 to 25 feet, a variance of 50 feet and to reduce the side
yard setback from 6 feet to 3 feet, a variance of 3 feet, to allow a detached carport
to remain as-built. Located at 7101 Porters Road, East side of Route 627,
approximately 0.8 mile North of its intersection with Route 6. Tax Map 120 / Parcel
59B, zoned Rural Areas.
The Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, November 12, 2002,
at 2:00 p.m., in Meeting Room 241, Second Floor, County Office Building, 401 McIntire
Road, Charlottesville, Virginia.
This application is available for your review in the Albemarle County Building Code and
Zoning Services Office, Second Floor, 401 McIntire Road, Charlottesville, Virginia.
