Dear Ladies and Gentleman:
This letter is to notify you, as adjoining property owners, that the Albemarle County Board of
Zoning Appeals will conduct a public hearing on June 3, 1997 on VA-97-02 for Clara B. Leap
(owner), Roland Leap (applicant). The Board deferred this request from their May 6, 1997
meeting. The variance request involves property described as tax map 131, parcel 2, Zoned RA,
Scottsville Magisterial District. The applicant is requesting relief from Section 10.4 of the
Albemarle County Zoning Ordinance, as follows:
The applicant requests a variance to reduce the front yard setback from 75 to 30 feet,
a variance of 45 feet. The variance is sought to allow an addition to maintain the
same front building line as the house which was constructed in 1932. The variance
will make the existing house and front porch as well as the new addition conforming
to the ordinance.
The public hearing will be held by the Board of Zoning Appeals on Tuesday, June 3, 1997, at
3:00 p.m., in Meeting Room 241, Second Floor, County Office Building, 401 McIntire Road,
Charlottesville, Virginia.
