First of all, I do feel that the easement is a hardship, it takes land that I otherwise could use if it were not there. Yes, I should have know about the easement responsiblity, for two years the county went back and forth about taking over the easement and maintaining it. I didn't consider the storage unit until after the decision was made by the county that they would not be taking care of the easement and each of the four us received that confirmation and where told it would be our responsibility to maintain the easement. Anyway, so much for this. I would like to come to a workable solution for my property and for the county zoning committee. I would like to find a workable proposal with you that might have a more favorable response to the zoning board. As I mentioned earlier I did meet with Mr. Grady and he was going to report to you his findings. If I understood him correctly he did feel that there is a land use issue here, in a since that 70%of the property is hillside (not useable) and easement(not of use for me) and he looked at what you had brought up about the boxes built on the deck and deemed it not the way to go. He did say that if I asked for a three(3) foot variance and put in a smaller unit(6 ft x 8 ft) that this would be most workable solution. He also said the he would recommed that you have one or two of the zoning board members to come and look at the property as well. Is there anyway we can come up with a solution? Donna 9/23/2004
