16- 80- 13 . SIGN-PUBLIC : A sign owned by and erected at the
of a Federal , State or local government agency.
16-80-14 . SIGN-FREE STANDING : A business sign located upon a lot
or parcel of ground within the required setback area ,
not attached to the main building .
16- 80- 15 . SIGN-PROJECTING : A business sign erected, projecting per-
pendicularly to the building wall surface to which it is
attached; no part of which is more than six (6) feet from
the wall surface of the building on which it is erected.
16- 80-16 . SIGN-SUBDIVISION: A sign , not illuminated , sixty (60)
square feet or less in aggregate area identifying a
subdivision and located thereon at the entrances to
such subdivision . Said sign shall be no greater in
height than six (6) feet , and setback from any right of
way for proper sight distance .
.L6- 80-17 . SIGN - HUNTING , FISHING OR TRESPASSING : A sign , not
illuminated , one and one -half (1 1/2) square feet or
less in area erected on the apurtenant premises solely
as a warning or notice .
16-80- 18 . SIGN - POLITICAL : A sign not illuminated , two and one-
half (2 1/2) square feet or less in area, presenting
a candidate or issue , subject to a Federal , State or
local government plebiscite . Such sign may be erected
not more than one month prior to the date of voting and
shall be removed within 10 days thereafter .
16- 80- 19 . SIGN-WALL : A business sign erected or painted on a
building visible from the exterior thereof , no part of
which is more than twelve (12) inches from the surface

THIS DEED, Made this 1st day of February 1972 , by and between`4d
County School Board of Albemarle County and the School Board of '`-`,'a,
7-3/- 7�
the City of Charlottesville , hereinafter designated as Grantor
(even though more than one ) , and the COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA ,
acting by and through its Department of Highways , Grantee :
WITNESSETH : THAT WHEREAS, by meetings duly called by the
County School Board of Albemarle County and the School Board of
the City of Charlottesville , resolutions were duly passed auth-
orizing the conveyance to the Commonwealth of Virginia , Department
of Highways of the hereinafter described real estate ; and
WHEREAS , pursuant to 'order entered M , 19 771- in
the Circuit Court of Albemarle County , Virginia , and order entered
pl4AA1 3/ , 1922_ , in the Corporation Court of the City
of Charlottesville , Virginia,_, the action of said Boards to sell
said real estate was approved and ratified ;
NOW, THEREFORE , for and in consideration of the sum of $6 , 350 . 00
paid by the Grantee to the Grantor , receipt of which is hereby
acknowledged , the said Grantor hereby grants and conveys unto the
said Grantee in fee simple , with special warranty the land located
in the County of Albemarle , Virginia and described as follows :
- Being as shown on Sheet 3 of the plans for Route 631 ,
State Highway Project 0631-002-128 , C501 , and lying on
the southwest ( left ) side of and adjacent to the center
of present Route 631 , from the lands of Daisy D . Wetsel
at approximate Route 631 survey centerline Station 85+25
to the lands of First Assembly of God Church at approximate
Station 88+68 and containing 0 . 92 acre , more or less , land ,
of which 0 . 12 acre is included in the existing right of way
and 0 . 80 acre , more or less , is additional land , and being
a part of the same land acquired by the Grantor from
George T. Eddins and Mabel G . Eddins , his wife , by Deed
dated September 11 , 1970 and recorded in Deed Book 485 ,
page 261 , in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court
of said County .
For a more particular description of the land herein
conveyed , reference is made to photo copy of said Sheet
Number 3 , showing outlined in RED the land conveyed in
fee simple which photo copy Is hereto attached as a part
of this conveyance , and recorded simultaneously herewith
in the State Highway Plat Book Number , Page
The said Grantor covenants that it has the right to convey the said
land to the Grantee , that it has done no act to encumber the same
and that it will execute such further assurance of the same as may
be requisite .
