To Whom it May Concern: Our business at Lighthouse Instrument's involves the design, fabrication, and maintenance of gas analyzers used in pharmaceutical manufacturing. The processes used to manufacture can best be described as piece part fabrication, computer programming, assembly, and final testing. Product development labs and the manufacture of calibration standards are also within the scope of the business. Lighthouse Instruments is currently located at 2030 Avon Court, Charlottesville, VA and employs approximately 30 full lime employees. Due to growing business needs, our plan is to expand into a new facility that will be located at 2050 Avon Court, adjacent to our current location. This parcel is also zoned Light Industrial (L-1). Lighthouse has reviewed the standards referenced in Section 4.14 as required and has provided responses as follows. Noise Our operation is not expected to create sound or impact noise levels in excess of the values specified in Section 4.14.1. Our major sources of noise will be generated by the following shop equipment: Table Saw, Drill Press, Chop Saw, CNC Lathe, CNC Mill, Grinder, Sander. The equipment noise levels will be contained inside a dedicated 161 floor shop area. There will be an air compressors and NG supplied electric generator located at the new facility that may run intermittently but within the noise limit. All machines and equipment noise levels are projected to be below specified values at the receiving zone on the property lines. Vibration Equipment operated by shop does not produce any detectable earthbom vibration. Glare Our operation is completely contained within the building. The interior lighting associated with this operation does not produce glare that is visible beyond the lot line. Air Pollution There will be no emission of smoke, odor or gaseous pollutants. _Water Pollution No industrial liquid wastes will be generated by this operation. Our operation does not represent a hazard to water quality. Red oactivity Lighthouse does not generate or require handling of radioactive materials. Therefore there will be no radioactive emissions or danger to health and safety of person on or beyond the premises. Electrical Interference Lighthouse does not utilize any equipment that would generate electrical disturbances.
