At the request of the Kenridge Home Owners Association, this LOR is to formally request the modification of the intersection of Colridge Drive and Kenridge Park Drive. Proposed Conditions: As per the approved Kenridge site plan this intersection was proposed with a mountable central island and cobblestone pedestrian crosswalks with required signage. Existing Conditions: Colridge Drive, a variable width private right of way, is a paved road with cobblestone curbing, approaching from its beginning with U.S. Route 250, approximately 256 feet to the south and continues additionally 751 feet to the north and terminates with a total length of 961 feet. Kenridge Park Drive, a 30-foot private right of way, is an East/West connecting road right of way with the lands of White Gables to the East and with the lands of Ivy Road Properties, LLC to the West. Collins Engineering had previously submitted an asbuilt survey for this subdivision in 2009 that showed the required travel way (pavement width) and intersecting radii not meeting site plan requirements. Recently the developer reworked those areas and based upon a current asbuilt survey prepared by this firm those areas now meet or exceed planned requirements. Traffic Flow modification: Our request is to modify the intersection in this manner. Colridge Road, northbound, will remain a through road with right turn and left turn "first rights" at this intersection. Colridge Road, southbound, and Kenridge Park Drive will be required to Stop and yield to all northbound, Colridge Road traffic to reduce a stacking situation from U.S. Route 250 as originally intended.
