Neale,
You have asked if the following changes to the concept plan can be considered to be in general
accord with the approved plan.
1. Rotate the proposed 26'x 46' storage building 90 degrees and increase the height from 12 feet
to 16 feet.
2. Construct a retaining wall in the area to the rear of the existing building and next to the
proposed storage building.
3. Install a propane tank behind the proposed storage building more than 15 feet from the side
property line.
I have consulted with Scott Clark, the Senior Planner who reviewed the special permit, Margaret
Maliszewski, the Design Planner and Amelia McCulley, the Zoning Administrator. These
changes can be approved provided that the proposed building meets 15 -foot side setback for
primary structures in the VR district.
The Design planner recommends that the propane tank be placed in a location that is not visible
from Route 20. Please be aware that ARB approval will be required as a condition of site plan
approval if the retaining wall, propane tank or building are visible from Route 20.
I will place a copy of this e-mail and the sketch you provided in the SP file for reference.
