Dear Ms, Boone:
I am writing to clarify what is needed in order to schedule the above referenced request before
the Board of Zoning Appeals. This item will not be on the August agenda of the Board of
Zoning Appeals, due to the additional items required for the sign as proposed. The next available
hearing of the board will be Tuesday, September 9, 2008. Additional items needed have to be
provided no later than 3:40 PM, Monday, August 4, 2008 to be on that agenda.
As we discussed by phone, the following will be required by the August 4s' deadline:
-A separate application for a variance to both the height (12' maximum allowed)
and area (32 sq. ft. maximum) requirements of the sign ordinance.
-A $120 fee for each of the applications (one special permit for the electric message
board and one variance application for the height & area), a $240 total.
-Proper signatures of the property owners (TIKI LLC) on each of the two applications
or written authorization from the owners to act on their behalf.
Also. you and your clients might want to wait to file until after the Architectural Review Board
has reviewed your proposal and commented on it. This will likely change the specifics of your
Board of Zoning Appeals requests (such as: reduction in actual size, height, etc.).
