Dear Mr. Fritz:
I am a neighbor of Ms. Lindsay Eckford on Exton Court, both properties of which belong to
the RiverRun Property Owners Association.
Ms. Eckford is applying for a variance at 726 Exton Court to extend a planned porch closer
than is usually allowed from her back property line. In reviewing her request, are you
taking into account all RiverRun Property Owners Association restrictions as applies to
additions and modifications of the exterior of these townhouses?
Those of us who live on Exton Court have the pleasure of great views in the back of our
properties, be it on a patio or a deck, to a lovely undeveloped area that covers almost a
block. This scenic area is comprised of both lawn and tall trees. I am VERY worried
about Ms.
Eckford setting a precedent in which others of our neighbors will want to build out to the
limits of their property lines, thereby destroying the views that all of us have come to
love.
Therefore, I urge you NOT to allow this variance request.
Also, I ask you NOT to use my name in any conversations or correspondence with Ms.
Eckford. As I say, I am a neighbor and have to maintain a cordial relationship with her,
despite my thoughts about her proposed building project.
Thank you very much for your kind attention. Please feel free to contact me if you have
questions.
Sincerely,
Rosalind Auberry
