Subject: Woodlands Minor Amendment Critical slope waiver
Scott,
I'm writing to you to let you know that I misspoke during our telephone conversation regarding the comments to
the Woodlands minor site plan amendment regarding the construction road area. In that conversation, I
mentioned that a critical slope waiver would not be needed if the slopes were disturbed for a SWM facility. That
was incorrect. A critical slope waiver will be required if critical slopes are disturbed, regardless of the purpose.
There will not be exemptions given for disturbances for SWM facilities or the accessway because there is a
reasonable alternative to the disturbance. That reasonable alternative is to continue to gain access to the
construction site from Mountainwood Road.
This decision was supported by all of the other engineers during the review of the plan and I misspoke when
clarifying the comment over the phone. When you resubmit the plan, please include a waiver request and we will
take it to the Planning Commission.
Thanks,
Phil
