Below are our responses to the remaining comments on the road plans. Engineering: 1. a. Compaction notes have been added to all drainage and utility profile sheets. b. Pipe slope has been increased between Str. 42B and Str. 38. 2. Comment acknowledged. 3. Pipe diameter between Str. 36 and Str. 34 has been increased from 15" to 18". 4. a. Tc for Str. 32 has been revised. b. Tc for Str. 12 has been revised. 5. a. Pavement design chart and pavement sections have been revised. Each pavement section now satisfies h + b >_ 4.5". b. Additional cross -sections have been shown between Sta. 16+96 to the end of the proposed roadway improvements (Sta. 19+04.) The sections in this area are not uniform in widths due to the transition from the proposed roadway to the existing road, but generalized sections have been shown to aid in the construction of the roadway. 6. a. A letter from the School Board will be acquired and provided to Albemarle County granting temporary construction access for the improvements to Galaxie Farm Lane. b. Comment acknowledged. Sealed geotechnical retaining wall design will be provided to Albemarle County for review and approval. c. A copy of the recorded retaining wall maintenance agreement for walls crossing one or more lot lines will be provided to Albemarle County. d. A note in reference to retaining wall handrails has been added to the grading and drainage plan sheets. 7. a. A street name sign has been provided for Vera Rubin Place. b. Speed limit signs have been shown and labeled. 8. a. Speed limit signs have been shown and labeled. b. Marie Curie Court street name sign has been labeled. c. Mary Jackson Court street name signs have been labeled. d. Comment acknowledged. e. CG-6 has been added at the north end of Mary Jackson Court to prevent asphalt pavement degradation. f. Cow Branch has been labeled across the plan sheets. 9. a. Lot 6 buildable area listed on Sheet 3 has been verified and is correct as shown. b. Lot lines and buildable area for Lot 6 have been labeled on Sheets 3 and 4 for clarity. 10. Title sheet revised to list SUB2021000179.
