I've worked with Mr. Edwards in regards to the access issues for Oakleigh. They have been able to show two possible
options for a second access, also they will be applying for a fire code variance for the required turn around on Block
IV. The variance will need to be approved prior to final site plan approval.
At this point I feel everything can be addressed at the site plan review.

Robbie,
Thanks for taking time to meet with George and me Monday. We appreciate you discussing your point of view
and helping us understand better the regulations you are trying to follow.
To recap:
1. We don't need to provide a turn-around in Block IV (the townhomes) if we agree to sprinkling the units.
George stated that we will do this to avoid having a turn-around in this block.
2. Based on the size of the proposed assisted living facility a 2ndary emergency access is required. We
presented to you a sketch showing 2 connections. We decided that the one leading to the Medical
Services of America property would be the best. The emergency access could be(as a minimum) 20'
lane, up to 16% and gravel. In addition to the concept we reviewed, I've shown an alternate laid over an
existing drainage easement we have between the two properties. Hopefully, either option will work and
proves we can get an emergency access route in the back of the property to satisfy this concern.

At this point, we would appreciate if you could update your comments to JT letting him know we have been in
communication and based on these sketches you are now comfortable with our ideas- enough where we can get
through our rezoning efforts. Obviously,when we submit our site plan amendment we will have more definitive
information for you to further review.
