RE: Community Meeting for ZMA-2019-00014 (Commercial Development—TMP#61-134A)
Dear Neighbor,
We Collins Engineering invite you to attend a Community Meeting on January 23, 2020 at 6:00
pm at the Albemarle County Office Building in Room 235 regarding our request to construct a
commercial building along Route 29 adjacent to the southern entrance to the Fashion Square Mall and
the BBT bank on TMP#61-134A. The proposed rezoning is to construct a 3,000 SF commercial building
on the front portion of the 1+/-acre parcel, reserving the back portion of the property for future
development. Currently,the site is wooded land between the BBT bank and Fashion Square mall.
The purpose of the meeting is to provide an opportunity for residents and business owners to
receive information and ask questions about the proposed project, County review procedures, and
relevant regulations and policies of the County applicable to the proposed project. The applicant and
County Staff will be available at the meeting to answer questions about the project and the review
process.
The meeting will start at 6:00 in Room 235 at the Albemarle County Office Building. This
meeting is part of the Rio Road Places 29 monthly Community Meeting, so there will be other projects
and reports on the agenda for the meeting. A copy of the agenda for the meeting should be available
one week prior to the meeting,and can be found at the following link:
