BUILDING CODE NOTES:
1. ACCESSIBLE PARKING SPACES, ACCESS ISLES, AND ACCESSIBLE ROUTE
SHALL BE INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ICC ANSI A117.1-og AND THE 2015
VIRGINIA CONSTRUCTION CODE.
2. ALL WATERLINES, SEWER LINES, AND FIRE LINES FROM THE MAIN TO THE
STRUCTURE MUST HAVE A VISUAL INSPECTION PERFORMED BY THE
BUILDING DEPARTMENT.
3. WHERE THE FLOOD LEVEL RIIMS OF PLUMBING FIXTURES ARE BELOW THE
ELEVATION OF THE MANHOLE COVER OFTHE NEXT UPSTREAM MANHOLE IN
THE PUBLIC SEWER, THE FIXTURE SHALL BE PROTECTED BY A BACKWATER
VALVE INSTALLED IN THE BUILDING DRAIN, BRANCH OF THE BUILDING DRAIN,
OR HORIZONTAL BRANCH SERVING SUCH FIXTURES. PLUMBING FIXTURES
HAVING FLOOD LEVEL RIMS ABOVE THE ELEVATION OF THE MANHOLE
COVER OF THE NEXT UPSTREAM MANHOLE IN THE PUBLIC SEWER SHALL NOT
DISCHARGE THROUGH A BACKWATER VALVE.
4. ALL ROOF DRAINS SHALL DISCHARGE IN A MANNER NOT TO CAUSE A
PUBLIC NUISANCE AND NOT OVER SIDEWALKS.
