HomeMy WebLinkAboutSP200600039 Legacy Document 2007-04-06pF AL �i COUNTY OF ALBEMARLE Department of Community Development 401 McIntire Road, Room 227 Charlottesville, Virginia 22902-4596 Phone (434) 296-5832 April 5, 2007 Richard G and Peggy W Carter 1340 Stony Point Rd Charlottesville, VA 22911 RE: SP 2006-00039 Pantops Veterinary Hospital (Signs #54 and 55) Tax Map P 78 Parcel 58G3 Dear Mr. and Mrs. Carter: Fax(434)972-4012 On March 14, 2007, the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors took action on SP -2006-00039, Pantops Veterinary Hospital, for a Veterinary Hospital at Rivers Edge Offices in a 6,600 total square foot building on a 1.32 acre parcel on Tax Map 78 Parcel 58G3 in the Rivanna Magisterial District. This special use permit was approved based on the following conditions: 1. The plan shows the total floor area of the building to be used for the veterinary office and hospital as three thousand three hundred (3,300) square feet. Any additional square footage for the veterinary office and hospital use will require an amendment to this Special Use Permit (SP -2006- 0039); 2. No overnight boarding use, other than for those animals under medical care shall take place at the veterinary hospital; The building shall be sound -proofed and air-conditioned; 4. The outside area for walking of animals shall be limited to the flood plain area adjacent to the building as identified in Attachment F; A separate entrance and exit shall be provided for the clinic in accordance with Section 5. 1.11 d; and No outdoor exercise area shall be permitted. Please be advised that although the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors took action on the project noted above, no uses on the property as approved above may lawfully begin until all applicable approvals have been received and conditions have been met. This includes: compliance with conditions of the SPECIAL USE PERMIT; and approval of a ZONING COMPLIANCE CLEARANCE. In the event that the use, structure or activity for which this special use permit is issued is not commenced within twenty-four (24) months from the date of Board approval, it shall be deemed abandoned and the permit terminated. The term "commenced" means "construction of any structure necessary to the use of the permit."
