Response to Rev. 1 Comments
Ms. Cox,
On behalf of Cyrena Sparkman we offer the following responses and plan revisions to
comments dated December 20", 2021. Our Responses are in bold italic text below each
comment.
A. Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP)
1. SWPPP will need to be updated to include the final approved plans. Rev. 1:

The SWPPP has been updated to include the most recent plan sheets.
2. Rev. 1: Section 9, signed certification, must be signed.
Section 9 of the SWPPP is now signed. See attached updated SWPPP.
B. Pollution Prevention Plan (PPP)
1. No Comment.
The PPP has been updated to reflect changes in the underlying phase 2 erosion
and sediment control elements, but no changes to prevention practices have
been made. See plan in the SWPPP.

C. Stormwater Management Plan (SWMP) GRADE
1. Since this plan is for the establishment of a single family dwelling unit,
according to County Code 17-403-13, an agreement in lieu of a stormwater CIVIL ENGINEERING

approval.
The stormwater management agreement for single family residence construction
is included with this submission. A contractor has yet to be selected by the owner,
so this portion of the agreement (responsible land disturber) has been left as TBD
and will be filled in upon final selection of the contractor prior to Land
Disturbance Permit issuance.
2. An easement is not required for the level spreaders, however a SWIM facility
maintenance agreement will be necessary before this plan can be approved. Please
contact Ana Kilmer [akilmer@albemarle.org or 434-296-5832 ext 3246) in our
office to complete that process. Rev. 1: Comment not addressed. SWIM agreement
must be executed before plan approval.
The SWM maintenance agreement process is underway.
7. Rev. 1: Please keep the rip -rap that is shown as outlet protection on the E&S plan
for the culverts. Ensure it is designed as permanent rip -rap.
Permanent rip -rap style outlet protection is now proposed for both culverts. See
revised sheet C2.2 and minimum dimensions and detail on sheet C2.3.
8. Rev. 1: Based on photos provided, the area below level spreader B must be fully
stabilized before bond will be released.
Acknowledged. A note has been added to sheets C2.2 and C5.1 notifying the
contractor of this.
