HomeMy WebLinkAboutSP200700002 Action Letter 2007-06-06 OF Aj I Co J� I- i i7ui', %CI �IRGINIP COUNTY OF ALBEMARLE Department of Community Development 401 McIntire Road, Room 227 Charlottesville, Virginia 22902-4596 Phone(434)296-5832 Fax (434) 972-4012 June 18, 2007 Mathew Holt 7129 Maplehill Farm Scottsville, VA 24590 RE: SP# 2007-00002 Farm Working Housing (Sign # 38) Tax Map 122, Parcel 10 Dear Mathew Holt: On June 6, 2007, the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors took action on SP #2007-00002 to allow farm worker housing facilities including 5 sleeping cabins and 1 kitchen/bath structure for 10 seasonal workers on Tax Map 122, Parcel 10 in the Scottsville District. This special use permit was approved based on the following conditions: 1. The improvements proposed under SP-2007-00002 and the scale and location of the improvements shall be developed in general accord with the conceptual plan entitled "Conceptual Plan for SP 2007-032" (including the attached sheet titled "Conceptual plan for farm worker housing"), revised March 23, 2007, and initialed "SMC"; 2. Parking spaces shall be delineated by bumper blocks. Bumper blocks shall be constructed of a durable material such as concrete or treated timbers. Each bumper block shall be a minimum length of six (6) feet, a maximum height of five (5) inches, and shall be securely anchored into the ground in at least two (2) places; and 3. The parking area shall be surfaced with gravel. A minimum depth of six (6) inches of#57 or#21A stone shall be used to surface the entire parking area. Please be advised that although the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors took action on the project noted above, no uses on the property as approved above may lawfully begin until all applicable approvals have been received and conditions have been met. This includes: • compliance with conditions of the SPECIAL USE PERMIT; • approval of a ZONING COMPLIANCE CLEARANCE. In the event that the use, structure or activity for which this special use permit is issued is not commenced within twenty-four (24) months from the date of Board approval, it shall be deemed abandoned and the permit terminated. The term "commenced" means "construction of any structure necessary to the use of the permit."
