Box 2013 Charlottesville, Va. 22902-0013 February 22, 1984 Wholley Preliminary Plat Route 682 • Mr. Ronald S, Keeler pc ED Department of Planning and Community Development 23 1984 County of Albemarle 401 McIntire Road PLANNING DEPT. Charlottesville, Va. 22901-4596 BY Dear Mr. Keeler: This is in reference to a letter of December 22, 1983, from your office concerning the above captioned plat. The Department has recently reviewed the sight distance to the pro- posed private street commercial entrance for this site and the sight distance to the east of the entrance back to Route 637 is now adequate. The joint entrance serving lots 3 and 4 presently has a sight distance problem to the north. To obtain the necessary 250' of sight distance in this direction vegetation will have to be trimmed along a fence line and a recorded sight easement will need to be shown along lot 4 to insure the adequate sight distance in this direction. This joint entrance as shown on the plat indicates that the entrance off Route 682 was solely on lot 3 initially. If this is to be a joint entrance it should be on the property line with half the entrance on each lot. This is a matter the County should look into if this is to be a joint entrance serving both lots 3 and 4; otherwise the entrance as shown would only have access of the State road for lot 3. If we can be of further assistance in this matter, please advise. Yours truly, D. S. Roosevelt Resident Engineer By: J. A. Echols Ass't. Resident Engineer JAE/mah TRANSPORTATION - AMERICA'S LIFFI INFR
