Jackson, VA 22842 Tel. (540) 477-3300 FAX: (540) 477-3360 www.inbodenEnv.com Revision to Expansion Evaluation Onsite Wastewater Management for Clifton Inn Project Dear Mr. D'Angelo: This letter is to provide a minor revision to the Clifton Inn and Collina Farm Onsite Wastewater Management — Expansion Feasibility Evaluation, dated 30 July 2021. This revision is to address a revised expansion capacity for the restaurant of 100 seats. Inboden Environmental Services, Inc. (IES) evaluated the sewage flow for the scenario of: existing Inn, 35 new rooms,100 seat restaurant capacity and a 75 person day -use event center. The revised wastewater flow rates and flow equalization volume are listed below. • Peak daily Influent 7,875 gal/day [previously 7,575 gal.] • Equalized Flow to treatment system: 4,600 gpd [previously 4,000 gpd] • 7-day Flow Equalization Tank Volume: 11,500 gal. [previously 9,500 gal.] The treatment system would be upgraded as outlined in the previous proposal with an increased capacity for these higher flows. Effluent would be managed using the existing disposal system consisting of drip dispersal and gravity drainfields plus additional area as required. IES has preliminarily identified over 36,000 square feet of additional suitable soil area. This area would have to be confirmed with additional soil evaluations. The Nitrogen Dilution Management Area (NDMA) would be revised based on the new effluent flow rates. IES believes that sufficient area is available around the existing and expanded disposal areas. If necessary, effluent nitrogen concentration could be reduced with an additional treatment step so that the NDMA available is sufficient to meet the regulatory requirements. Conclusions I conclude that the existing AOSS, with recommended repairs and improvements are implemented, would be capable of managing the sewage flow from the proposed expansion outlined above. The required improvements would be defined in detail during final engineering and permitting. Please contact me if you have questions and/or comments. We look forward to moving forward with the next steps in the project. Sincerely, *aM!:acioIek, P.E. Senior Environmental Engineer Inboden Environmental Services, Inc. Page 1 of 1 Tel. (800) 648-1010
