RE APPLICATION FOR A VARIANCE OF RULE 6 4 2(AMENDED 9-21-88)

JUS 17r ICATION SHALL BE BASED ON THESE THREE CRITERIA:
1 THE JORDANS,IN GOOD FAITH,BOUGHT THIS HISTORIC PROPERTY WITH THE PLAN OF
EXPANDING THE HOUSE AT SOME POINT IN THE FUTURE.THE PREVIOUS SETBACK
REQUIREMENTS WOULD CERTAINLY HAVE PERMITTED THE CURRENTLY PROPOSED
ADDITION TO PROCEED APPLYING THE NEW RECTRICTIONS TO AN EXISTING
ESTABLISHED PROPERTY IS AN UNDO HARDSHIP THAT THEY SHOULD NOT HAVE TO
ENDURE.
2 THERE ARE A NUMBER EXISTING PROPER 1'1hS IN THIS AREA THAT DO NOT MEET THE
ARBITRARY NEW SETBACK REQUIREMENTS AND TO HOLD THE JORDANS TO A
DIFFERENT SET OF REGULATIONS THAN THEIR NEIGHBORS IS NOT A SHARED HARDSHIP,
AND THEY SHOULD NOT BE LIMITED BY THSE RESTRICTIONS
3 THE EXISTING MAIN BODY OF THE HOUSE IS ABOUT 50'FROM RTE.250.OUR PROPOSED
ADDITION,THAT SITS ABOUT 10'BACK FROM THE SIDE OF THE HOUSE THAT FACES RTE.
250,WOULD HAVE A MINIMAL IMPACT ON THE ROAD SIDE OR TO ANY NEIGHBOR'S
PROPERTY THE STUCCO EXTERIOR WOULD REMAIN THE SAME AND THE STYLE OF THE
RESIDENCE WOULD REMAIN IN HARMONY WITH THE RURAL,COUNTRY SETTING THAT
EXISTS NOW. ANY CHANGE THAT WOULD TAKE PLACE WOULD BE OF A POSITIVE
NATURE;THE JORDANS ARE HOPING TO TAKE ONE OF THE AREA'S OLDER PROPER f1ES
AND ENSURE THAT THE NECESSARY REPAIRS AND IMPROVEMENTS ARE MADE SO THAT
THIS RESIDENCE ENHANCES THE SETTING AND COMMUNITY OF GREENWOOD
