Re: ZMA202000005 Old Dominion Village & SE202200010 Old Dominion Vet Action Letter
Dear Mr. Miller,
The Albemarle County Planning Commission at its meeting on February 15, 2022, recommended approval of
ZMA202000005 Old Dominion Village by a vote of 7:0, for the reasons stated in the staff report, provided that the
recommended revisions, as identified in the staff report, and with the additional revision to the code of development
prohibiting overnight boarding of animals not related to veterinary care, are made to the application prior to the Board of
Supervisors public hearing.
The Planning Commission recommended denial by a vote of 4:3 of the one (1) special exception request related to Sec.
18.5.1.11(b), SE202200010 Old Dominion Vet, to reduce the requirement of a 200' buffer between a Commercial kennel,
veterinary service, office or hospital, animal hospital, animal shelter and a residential lot line to 50'.
