Design Focused Engineering March 4, 2022 David James County of Albemarle Department of Community Development 401 McIntire Road, North Wing Charlottesville, Virginia 22902 RE: Response Letter #4 for SDP201800040 Hunters Way — Major Site Plan Amendment Dear David, Thank you for your review of the major site plan amendment for Hunters Way. This letter contains responses to County comments dated Sept 22, 2021. Our responses are as follows: 1. WPO plan/amendment must be approved before site plan amendment is a pproved.Acknowl edged - WP02016-52 amendment. (Rev.2/3/4) Comment still valid. (Rev.5/6) Comment still valid. SWIM easement deed & plat will need to be recorded prior to SDP approval,as well. The easement plat has been submitted today (03-04-2022), the WPO Amendment was resubmitted on (02-28-2022). We have resubmitted this SPA today because the length of the SWM detention pipe and SWM maintenance easement was increased by 20'. The other change was a revision to the orifice size. Based on conversations with Albemarle County engineering in February 2022, the County's most recent policy is that energy balance equation compliance is required even if orifice size is less than 3" (within reason). As is shown in the latest WPO amendment, the Energy Balance Equation can be met with a 2.5" orifice. This is smaller than 3" but is within reason. This chance required the detention pipe to increase in length by 20'. To keep all applications with the same information, we are resubmitting the site plan today.
