Land use 1. Proposed right of way labeling will need to be changed to; dedicated to the Commonwealth of Virginia, for public use. Route 240 is a primary road, and in most circumstances right of way dedications, are to be dedicated to the Commonwealth of Virginia. 2. The applicant will need to provide VDOT with an environmental report, stating that there's no hazardous material in the dedication area. 3. Attached you'll find the deed of dedication form to the Commonwealth of Va., please have the applicant fill out and notarize. Once this has been completed, it will need to be QC and QA by our Right of Way section manager, for accuracy, before the State Right Way Director signs the deed. Please forward this back with your response letter. A VDOT Land Use Permit will be required prior to any work within the right-of-way. The owner/developer must contact the VDOT Charlottesville Residency Land Use Section at (434) 422-9399 for information pertaining to this process. If you have further questions, please contact Willis C. Bedsaul at 434-422-9866. Sincerely, John Wilson, P.E. Asst. Res.
