RE: LOR#1 for SDP-2011-00011— Blue Ridge Swim Club
Tax Map/Parcel #05800-00-00-075A1
Dear Applicant,
This letter is to approve as a Letter of Revision the site changes proposed at the Blue Ridge Swim Club on the
above referenced site plan. The approved LOR drawings are attached with a County stamp and approval date of
April 4, 2022.
Changes proposed are as follows, in compliance with approved Special Use Permits SP201900014 and
SP201900015:
• New 1,200 sq.ft. pavilion building
• New 1,200 sq.ft. storage building
• Installation of new evergreen trees (species described in narrative attached to approved for drawings) for
screening
• Removal of eleven existing pine trees and one tulip poplar tree
This is the first (P) Letter of Revision for this site. Three (3) total Letters of Revision can be approved for each
site before a minor site plan amendment is required. Depending on the scope of work proposed, any future
changes may necessitate major site plan amendment, minor site plan amendment, or a Letter of Revision.
ISincerely,

RE: Letter of Revision document
This application is to formalize the preliminary site plan that was submitted and approved
recently with the amendment for SP 2011-11 on my property at 1275 Owensville Road. The site
plan has been signed by Ruth Ellen Outlaw, AIA, a local architect. I have included the Letter of
Revision fee and made 4 11 x 17 copies of the plan. This had not been signed earlier by an
architect and that's the only change from the approved site plan that accompanied the
application. Please let me know if I can do anything further to help with the process.

Notes: The Pavilion of no more than 1200 s.f. will include space for an enclosed kitchen of approx. 180 s.f., 2 enclosed bathrooms of
approx. 300 s.f., with the enclosed portions on the south side of the building. The Storage Building will be enclosed on all sides except
parts of its north side (where maintenance equipment can park) and no more than 12DO s.f, and approximately 15' x 80'. Screening
consisting of rows of evergreen trees (12 trees per structure such as red cedars, white pines, or Leyland cypress) will be planted as
shown in relatively high areas on the property (and not on the property line where existing foliage would discourage growth and low
topography would minimize their shielding value) to shield the views of the structures from concerned neighbors. Eleven Virginia Pines
and one Tulip Poplar of greater than 6 inches would have to be removed for the construction of the Pavilion. These are older and tall
trees that provide essentially no screening value to neighbors. No trees will be removed for the storage building.
