The County of Albemarle Planning Division will grant or recommend approval of the plat referenced above once
the following comments have been addressed: [Each comment is preceded by the applicable reference, which is
to the Subdivision/Zoning Ordinances unless otherwise specified.]
[14-303 (L)] New public drainage easements will require a deed of dedication to be recorded with the plat.
Once all revisions to the plat have been made, staff from the Engineering Division will draft the deeds and
transmit them to the applicant. When the plat is ready to be submitted to the County for signature/approval,
signed hard copies of the deeds will also need to be submitted so that the County Executive and County
Attorney can sign them. Please contact Engineering Division staff directly if you have further questions about
the deeds.
2. [14-302(A)(15)] Please revise the ownership information to reflect current ownership and applicable deed
book references.
a. Revise Note 1 on Sheet 1
b. Revise the parcel label on Sheet 2
3. [14-302(B)(1)] Include a date of revision.
4. [14-302(B)(5)] Include Steep Slopes -Managed as an applicable Zoning Overlay District in Note 3.
5. [14-302(B)(9)] Remove Note 5 or provide additional information that the property is within the Flood Hazard
Overlay. It does not appear that there is any floodplain on the property.

2. This easement will need a deed. Engineering will provide a deed once the plat is ready for final
signatures.

Dear Mr. McCollum:
The Department of Transportation, Charlottesville Residency Transportation and Land Use
Section, has reviewed the above referenced plan as prepared by Jennings and Stephenson, dated
13 March 2022, and offers the following comments:
1. Add a note: "VDOT will only maintain within the drainage easement to the extent
necessary to protect the roadway."
Please provide a digital copy in PDF format of the revised plan along with a comment response
letter. If further information is desired, please contact Doug McAvoy Jr. at (540) 718-6113.
A VDOT Land Use Permit will be required prior to any work within the right-of-way. The
owner/developer must contact the Charlottesville Residency Transportation and Land Use
Section at (434) 422-9399 for information pertaining to this process.
