Their surveyor,Andrew Graff, had submitted a land swap plat of a narrow strip of land in order to facilitate construction of a privacy fence. After several weeks delay he was informed that VDH would also have to sign off on the land swap, though the area is small, there is no subdivision sought etc. The owners are upset that they were told last week that the county package would be sent promptly to VDH,Josh Kirtley.Several times this week, the owner contacted Josh's office but the packet has not gone to vdh, even after seven days.Vdh told Mrs.Thomas that there is only one delivery from the county to vdh, on Friday and that her packet was not included in today's delivery. Since she has already made two trips to vdh,she would have been glad to pick up the packet and hand carry it last week, to keep the project moving. Tasks needed. Andrew Reitelbach told Ms Thomas that the packet had left the county. Please have staff locate the Thomas' packet, which seems to have disappeared, recopy it and notify her to pick it up and deliver to vdh. Her phone is 434-964-6259. Please let me know the timetable for these things to occur. Each resident only sees time for action as reasonable in relationship to their own issues. Unless we tell them up front what is to be expected and take responsibility for follow through, they are quick to be frustrated when it seems process has left them behind. I hope that the full story will have a happier ending, that the file will be found and quickly acted upon. The family did think that by acting in December to begin the process, they would be ready for spring sale season.Another 60 day delay with the addition of the vdh process was not anticipated. Every week counts. Thank you. 1 pF A v1!lfi tAlifir COUNTY OF ALBEMARLE Department of Community Development 401 McIntire Road,Room 227 Charlottesville,Virginia 22902-4596 Phone(434)296-5832 Fax(434)972-4126 January 23, 2019 Josh Kirtley Virginia Department of Health 1138 Rose Hill Drive Charlottesville,VA 22906 RE:SUB201800191 Thomas-Parcels X and Y Boundary Line Adjustment Dear Mr. Kirtley: The County of Albemarle has received an application for a Boundary Line Adjustment plat involving Tax Map Parcel 57-39 and Tax Map Parcel 57-39A.This project requires Health Department review before receiving final County approval,as one of the parcels involved is less than five acres in size. However, this parcel is not losing overall acreage,as an area of 0.023 acres is being swapped with the adjacent parcel to retain its current size of two acres, though with a slightly different configuration. The applicant has provided the following for Health Department review: One(1)final plat(dated September 21,2018). Please review the plat to determine whether the proposed boundary line adjustment complies with County code and whether any existing wells and potential or existing drainfields would be affected by this boundary line adjustment. Please determine whether soils reports are needed,or if existing Health Department records for these two parcels show suitable drainfield locations that would be unaffected by this minor boundary line adjustment of 0.023 acres. Should you have any questions, requests for assistance,or topics of discussion, please feel free to contact me. Thank you very much for your assistance.
