The facility will include a lease area with ground equipment. The applicant has also requested a special exception to allow the antenna to be mounted 18 inches from the face of the tower instead of 12 inches. The proposed facility is located adjacent to 1-64 approximately 750 feet east of where Route 690 (Greenwood Station Road) crosses 1-64 on Tax Map/Parcel 05500-00-00-01400. As part of the County's Special Use Permit application review process, Verizon has scheduled a balloon test at the proposed site. A red balloon will be raised to the height of the proposed monopole and remain up during the hours of 8:30am-11:OOam on Wednesday, June 15`h, 2022. In the event of rain or high wind, the test will be re -scheduled for Thursday, June 16`h, 2022 at the same time. During the balloon test, County staff and representatives of the application will drive around the area to take photographs and evaluate visibility from public roads and the photographs will be used to prepare photosimulations of the proposed monopole.
