Chris
It appears you may qualify for a non -reporting NWP 18. It is up to you to make sure you meet all the terms and
conditions of the NWP 18. Also, see attached and fill out and keep for your records.
Thanks
Vinny

Subject: [Non-DoD Source] Confirming Non -Reporting NW18 Castalia Farm Winery
Vinny,
Upon further analysis of the stream crossings at Castalia Farm, we determined that there is less than 10 cy of fill above
the high water mark at the two crossings. The high water mark was determined by analyzing the stream on multiple dates
and taking multiple measurements to find an average depth. The top and bottom of the stream banks were recorded in
our field survey so that we could accurately map the path and variable width of the streams within the disturbed area. I've
attached an exhibit showing our calculations and the relevant plan sheets.
We are proposing 110 LF of fill disturbance and 8.4 cy of fill above the ordinary high water mark in two streams. The fill
does not result in the loss of more than 0.1 acres of waters in the US. This fill placement is not for the purpose of a
stream diversion and site visits revealed no wetlands within the limits of disturbance.
Can you provide confirmation that this project meets the conditions of the nonreporting Nationwide 18 Permit?
Thanks,
Chris
