LOCATION: Near the intersection of Miller School Rd and Burchs Creek Rd Just past 1519 Burchs Creek Rd on a portion
of property owned by the Miller School of Albemarle.
PROPOSAL: Request for approval of a Tier II personal wireless service facility with an 87.5 foot tall monopole. The site
would be located within a 2500 square -foot leased area off of Burchs Creek Rd and accessed via a 20' wide access and
utility easement. Associated with the request is a special exception to allow the closest point of the back of antenna to be
more than 12 inches from the monopole.
ZONING: RA Rural Areas
ENTRANCE CORRIDOR: No
OVERLAY DISTRICT: FH Flood Hazard Overlay
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN: Rural Area - preserve and protect agricultural, forestal, open space, and natural, historic and
scenic resources; residential (0.5 unit/ acre in development lots) in Rural Area 3 of the Comprehensive Plan.
Please be advised that due to the Covid-19 pandemic and efforts to maintain recommended social distancing, the Site
Review Meetings no longer take place. Review and comment can instead be provided electronically. Please contact the
lead reviewer for an online link through which you can view the plans, comments, and provide feedback. The comments
will be available to view on July 21, 2022.
Please note that one purpose of a Site Plan Review is to provide an opportunity for the applicant and reviewers to discuss
review comments. These projects are "by -right", which means that if the proposed plans meet the minimum requirements
of the County's zoning, site plan, or subdivision ordinances, they must be approved. Recognizing the importance of public
comment, we encourage you to reach out to the lead reviewer to express any concerns or questions you may have
regarding the application.
