The preliminary plat for Ashcroft Phase III (SUB200600411) was approved by Albemarle County on May 2, 2007. Changes
to Virginia State Code, pursuant to § 15.2-2209.1:1, extended the validity of the approved preliminary plat until July 1,
2022. Staff has received and reviewed your request to further extend the period of validity of the approved preliminary
plat. In accordance with local Albemarle County Code Sec. 14-231, which was in effect at the time of the preliminary plat
approval, staff hereby grants an extension to the approved preliminary plat SUB200600411 for one (1) year from the date
of this letter. The preliminary plat will now expire on June 28, 2023.

I would like to formerly ask for an extension to the validity of the preliminary plat SUB200600411. Va. Code
15.2-2209.1:1 has extended any recorded plat valid under 15.2-2260 and outstanding as of July 1, 2020 shall remain
valid until July 1, 2022, or such later date as may be provided for by the terms of the locality's approval, local
ordinance, resolution or regulation. Section D states that the extension of validity provided will be effective only if any
unreleased performance bonds and agreements are continued in force. Performance bonds have been posted and the
owner has had a pre -construction meeting along with his grading permit. A final subdivision plat was submitted on
5/16/2022 but it is unlikely to receive approval by July 1, 2022.
