PRIOR TO ANY CONSTRUCTION WITHIN ANY EXISTING PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY, INCLUDING CONNECTION TO ANY EXISTING ROAD, A PERMIT SHALL BE OBTAINED FROM THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORATION (VOOT). THIS PLAN AS DRAWN MAY NOT ACCURATELY REFLECT THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE PERMIT. WHERE ANY DISCREPANCIES OCCUR THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE PERMIT SHALL GOVERN. 2. ALL PAVING AND DRAINAGE RELATED MATERIALS AND CONSTRUCTION METHODS SHALL CONFORM TO CURRENT SPECIFICATIONS AND STANDARDS OF V.D.O.T. UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED. 3. EROSION AND SILTATION CONTROL MEASURES SHALL BE PROVIDED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE APPROVED EROSION CONTROL PLAN AND SHALL BE INSTALLED PRIOR TO ANY CLEARING, GRADING OR OTHER CONSTRUCTION. 4. ALL SLOPES AND DISTURBED AREAS ARE TO BE FERTILIZED, SEEDED AND MULCHED. MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE FILL OR CUT SLOPE IS 2:1. WHERE REASONABLY OBTAINABLE LESSER SLOPES OF 4:1 OR BETTER ARE TO BE ACHIEVED. 5. PAVED OR RIP RAP LINED DITCH MAY BE REQUIRED WHEN IN THE OPINION OF THE DIRECTOR OF ENGINEERING, OR HIS DESIGNEES, IT IS DEEMED NECESSARY IN ORDER TO STABILIZE A DRAINAGE CHANNEL. 6. ALL TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNS SHALL CONFORM WITH THE VIRGINIA MANUAL FOR UNIFORM TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES, LATEST EDITION. 7. UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED ALL CONCRETE PIPE SHALL BE REINFORCED CONCRETE PIPE CLASS III. B. ALL EXCAVATION FOR UNDERGROUND PIPE INSTALLATION SHALL COMPLY WITH OSHA STANDARDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY ( 29 CFR PART 1926 ). 9. IT SHALL BE THE CONTRACTORS RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK ALL DIMENSIONS, SITE CONDITIONS, FINAL GRADING AND FIELD LAYOUT ON THIS PROJECT AND REPORT ALL INCONSISTANCIES TO THE ENGINEER, SURVEYOR, ARCHITECT AND OWNER. SHOULD THE CONTRACTOR FAIL TO COMPLY WITH THE ABOVE HE WILL 'ASSUME TOTAL RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY ERRORS AND INCONSISTANCIES. 10. ALL OUTDOOR LIGHTING, REGARDLESS OF AMOUNT OF LUMENS, SHALL BE ARRANGED OR SHIELDED TO REFLECT LIGHT AWAY FROM ADJOINING RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT AND AWAY FROM ADJACENT ROADS. ALL LUMINAR'ES WHICH EMIT 3,000 OR MORE LUMENS SHALL BE FULL CUT OFF LUMINAIRES. 12. ALL SERVICE UTILITIES ARE TO BE PLACED UNDERGROUND. 13. IN LIEU OF CONCRETE STORM DRAIN PIPE ADS N-12 CORRUGATE® POLYETYLENE PIPE MAY BE USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH BEDDING TYPE PB-1. 14. ALL CONSTRUCTION AND MATERIALS SHALL COMPLY WITH THE STATE BUILDING CODE IN EFFECT AT THE TIME OF CONSTRUCTION. 15. THE SPILLOVER OF LIGHTING FROM PARKING AREA LUMINAIRES ONTO PUBLIC ROADS AND PROPERTY IN RESIDENTIAL OR RURAL AREAS ZONING DISTRICTS SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE-HALF (1/2) FOOT CANDLE.
