RE: ARB-2022-63: Towneplace Suites Final Site Plan (TMP: 078000000009D0)
Dear Mr. Bhatt,
The Albemarle County Architectural Review Board reviewed the above noted item at its meeting on Monday,
August 1, 2022. The Board unanimously approved the request, pending staff administrative approval of the
following conditions:
1. Revise the photometric plan to note that the LLF used to calculate the photometrics is 1.0.
2. Prepare a single, coordinated photometric plan that includes all proposed lighting.
3. Revise the lighting schedule to indicate the total lumens emitted by the LED fixtures.
4. Eliminate the decorative up -lights. Limit illumination to that which is needed for safety or security.
5. Revise the luminaire schedule to spec "730" for 3000K color temperature for the site lights.
6. Revise the lighting schedule to include the bronze finish for the site lights.
Please provide:
1. A full set of revised drawings addressing each of these conditions. Include updated revision dates on
each drawing. Electronic submittals are preferred.
2. A memo including detailed responses indicating how each condition has been satisfied. If changes other
than those requested have been made, identify those changes in the memo also. Highlighting the
changes in the drawing with "clouding" or by other means will facilitate review and approval.
3. The attached 'Revised Application Submittal' form. This form must be returned with your revisions to
ensure proper tracking and distribution.

When staffs review of this information indicates that all conditions of approval have been met, a Certificate of
Appropriateness may be issued.
