Comments from Other Reviewers: Albemarle County Engineering Services (Engineer) —John Anderson, janderson2@albemare.org comments: 1. Justin Shimp contacted Engineering (J. Anderson) 2-3 weeks ago to discuss design change prompted by precise survey data along existing EP, Country Green Road. The approved CG near Int. Country Green Road and Oak Hill Place will not allow runoff to drain around the proposed (approved) curb bump -out at the east end of parallel parking spaces, depicted below. Applicant, consulted with VDOT (Adam Moore), and indicates VDOT is accepting of this change within public right-of-way, indicates there is no increase in runoff or change in destination of runoff which would otherwise be concentrated against CG-6. Engineering does not object to removal of a portion of approved CG-6, removal of section of sidewalk and construction instead of a sloped shoulder of suitable material and compaction, stabilized to resist erosion, with contours (contour 480, shown in red) that direct drainage, to alleviate and prevent nuisance ponding which would otherwise occur on Country Green Road. Applicant is advised that non- durable surfaces must be adequately stabilized prior to WPO plan close-out. Otherwise, no other effects anticipated. ESC measures and permanent stabilization are not new requirements with this change, but exist under any design scenario, whether initial site plan, or design alteration proposed with this LOR. No further coordination with Engineering is required. No WPO plan Amendment is required. Please coordinate project activities within VDOT right-of-way with VDOT, Charlottesville Residency.
