12. THIS SITE WILL NOT BE USED FOR THE STORAGE OF GASOLINE, KEROSENE
OR OTHER VOLATILE MATERIALS; DYNAMITE, BLASTING CAPS AND OTHER
EXPLOSIVES; PESTICIDES AND POISONS; AND OTHER MATERIALS WHICH
COULD BE HAZARDOUS TO LIFE IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT.
13. NO OUTDOOR STORAGE OF ANY MATERIALS WILL BE ALLOWED.
14. THIS BUILDING IS INTENDED AS STORAGE FOR AN ELECTRICAL
CONTRACTOR (WIRE, CONDUIT, PANEL BOXES, ETC.). ONE OR TWO
VEHICLES PER DAY ARE EXPECTED TO USE THIS FACILITY TO
COLLECT/STORE MATERIALS AS NEEDED.
15. LESS THAN 0.1 CFS INCREASE IN STORM WATER RUNOFF IS EXPECTED DUE
TO SITE IMPROVEMENTS.
16. PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT OF ANY CONSTRUCTION WITHIN ANY EXISTING
PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY, INCLUDING CONNECTION TO ANY EXISTING ROAD, A
PERMIT FOR SAID CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE OBTAINED FROM THE VIRGINIA
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (HEREAFTER ABBREVIATED V.D.O.T.).
17. ALL PAVING AND DRAINAGE RELATED MATERIALS AND CONSTRUCTION
METHODS SHALL CONFORM TO CURRENT SPECIFICATIONS AND STANDARDS
OF V.D.O.T. UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED.
18. ALL SLOPES AND DISTURBED AREAS ARE TO FERTILIZED, SEEDED AND
MULCHED. MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE FILL OR CUT SLOPE IS 2:1. WHERE
REASONABLY OBTAINABLE LESSER SLOPES OF 4:1 OR BETTER ARE TO BE
ACHEIVED.
19. PAVED, RIP -RAP OR STABILIZATION MAT LINED DITCH MAY BE REQUIRED
WHEN IN THE OPINION OF THE ALBEMARLE COUNTY DIRECTOR OF
ENGINEERING, OR HIS DESIGNEE, IT IS DEEMED NECESSARY IN ORDER TO
STABILIZE A DRAINAGE CHANNEL.
20. ALL TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNS SHALL CONFORM WITH THE VIRGINIA MANUAL
FOR UNIFORM TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES, LATEST EDITION.
21. ALL EXCAVATION FOR UNDERGROUND PIPE INSTALLATION MUST COMPLY
WITH OSHA STANDARDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY (29 CFR PART
1926).

LANDSCAPE SCHEDULE
GENERAL 0 &
1. THE OW RIA/OR CONTRACTOR rSHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
OBTAINING ALL NECESSARY PERMITS, INSPECTIONS, BONDS AND OTHER
APPROVAL RELATED ITEMS WITH THE COUNTY OF ALBEMARLE AND
VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION IN ACCORDANCE WITH LOCAL
AND STATE POLICY. NO CONSTRUCTION SHALL COMMENCE UNTIL ALL SUCH
PERMITS HAVE BEEN SECURED.
2. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY THE PROPOSED LAYOUT WITH ITS
RELATIONSHIP TO THE EXISTING SITE SURVEY. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL
ALSO VERIFY ALL DIMENSIONS, SITE CONDITIONS, AND MATERIAL
SPECIFICATIONS AND SHALL NOTIFY THE OWNER AND ENGINEER OF ANY
ERRORS, OMISSIONS OR DISCREPANCIES BEFORE COMMENCING OR
PROCEEDING WITH WORK.
3. METHODS AND MATERIALS USED IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF SITE
IMPROVEMENTS FOR THIS PROJECT SHALL CONFORM TO THE CURRENT
CONSTRUCTION STANDARDS AND SPECIFICATIONS OF THE COUNTY OF
ALBEMARLE, AND THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION.
4. DEVIATIONS OR CHANGES FROM THESE PLANS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED
UNLESS APPROVED BY THE ENGINEER/OWNER AND COUNTY OF
ALBEMARLE AND THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AS
APPLICABLE.
5. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL MAKE EXPLORATORY EXCAVATIONS AND LOCATE
ANY EXISTING UTILITIES SUFFICIENTLY AHEAD OF CONSTRUCTION TO
PERMIT REVISIONS TO PLANS IF NECESSARY. THE EXISTENCE AND/OR
LOCATION OF UTILITIES SHOWN ON THESE PLANS MAY BE ONLY
APPROXIMATELY CORRECT AND THE CONTRACTOR IS REQUIRED TO TAKE
PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES TO PROTECT THE UTILITIES SHOWN HEREON
AND ANY OTHER EXISTING UTILITIES NOT OF RECORD OR NOT SHOWN ON
THESE PLANS. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
REPAIRING, AT HIS EXPENSE, ANY EXISTING UTILITIES DAMAGED DURING
CONSTRUCTION.
6. THIS PLAN DOES NOT GUARANTEE THE EXISTENCE OR NON-EXISTENCE OF
UNDERGROUND UTILITIES. PRIOR TO ANY CONSTRUCTION OR
EXCAVATION, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY THE EXISTENCE AND
LOCATION OF, OR THE NON-EXISTENCE OF, UNDERGROUND UTILITIES. THE
CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR NOTIFYING "MISS
UTILITY" (1-800-552-7001).
7. CONTRACTORS SHALL NOTIFY OPERATORS WHO MAINTAIN UNDERGROUND
UTILITY LINES IN THE AREA OF PROPOSED EXCAVATION OR BLASTING AT
LEAST TWO WORKING DAYS, BUT NOT MORE THAN TEN WORKING DAYS,
PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT OF EXCAVATION OR DEMOLITION.
8. RELOCATION OF ANY UTILITIES SHALL BE AT THE DEVELOPER'S EXPENSE
AND COMPLETED WITH THE SITE WORK. THE DEVELOPER SHALL BE
NOTIFIED AS TO THE RELOCATIONS REQUIRED PRIOR TO THE START OF
CONSTRUCTION.
9. AN APPROVED SET OF PLANS AND ALL APPLICABLE PERMITS MUST BE
AVAILABLE AT THE CONSTRUCTION SITE.
10. BEFORE BURNING, BLASTING, OR TRANSPORTATION OR STORAGE OF
EXPLOSIVES, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL OBTAIN ALL REQUIRED PERMITS.
11. CONTRACTOR AGREES THAT HE SHALL ASSUME SOLE AND COMPLETE
RESPONSIBILITY FOR JOB SITE CONDITIONS DURING THE COURSE OF
CONSTRUCTION OF THIS PROJECT, INCLUDING SAFETY OF ALL PERSONS
AND PROPERTY; THAT THIS REQUIREMENT SHALL APPLY CONTINUOUSLY
AND NOT BE LIMITED TO NORMAL WORKING HOURS; AND THAT THE
CONTRACTOR SHALL DEFEND, IDEMNIFY AND HOLD THE OWNER AND THE
ENGINEER HARMLESS FROM ANY AND ALL LIABILITY, REAL AND ALLEGED,
IN CONNECTION WITH THE PERFORMANCE OF WORK ON THIS PROJECT,
EXCEPTING FOR LIABILITY ARISING FROM "THE SOLE NEGLIGENCE OF THE
OWNER OR THE ENGINEER."
