The project is to expand parking facilities on the southern side of the Cale Elementary School complex adjacent to the existing
basketball court. This expansion will consist of the addition of 26 parking spaces and two detention facilities to control the runoff
from proposed conditions.

Cale Elementary School Parking Lot Expansion— Design Scope or Work
• Design of new parking lot with 25 parking spaces per attached sketch. Design to be
complete in order to submit site plan to Albemarle County Community Development in
time to support summer of 2014 construction.
> Design to include two (2)sets of site plans and two (2) sets of plans and specifications
for building permit submission. Design to include erosion and sediment control plan
and description of construction sequencing.
> Price to include construction administration services at four (4) site progress meetings
where Engineer will lead meeting. Also will include attendance and participation at pre-
bid meeting and final inspection/punch list meeting.
> Price to include submittal/shop drawing review and review of contractor as-built
drawings and close-out documentation. Also to include review and certification of
contractor pay applications.
> Two (2) cost estimates, one at mid-point of design and one (1) at completion of design.
Current estimated magnitude of construction is$131,500 (including contingency).
