Project Description: 1. The project will consist of various exterior improvements as part of a potable water pump station upgrade project, including the installation of a new standby electric generator and required transformer, two underground fire hydrants, and an underground vault for a water meter. 2. The equipment is new. 3. The generator will be placed on a 4' x 13' concrete pad.The generator is approximately 10' in height. 4. The generator location can be seen from Ivy Road. Landscape screening will be provided along the northern side of the property to screen Ivy Road as described below and depicted on the site sketch. 5. The project is an enhancement to the existing facilities as it provides backup electrical power for a water pumping station during electrical power outages.The improvements will be screened from Ivy Road with the placement of five (5) Pinus Strobus and four(4) Cryptomaria Japonica that will be staggered. B. Site Plan 1. The Site sketch shows the improvements in relation to the existing building and the location of Ivy Road. 2. No existing equipment is being removed. C. No roof mounted equipment is provided. D. For Ground-mounted equipment. 1. No existing landscaping is to be removed. 2. Proposed landscaping and minor grading are shown on the Site Plan 3. A temporary construction easement for staging is shown on the Site Plan.The ground surface will be reestablished to pre-construction conditions. Underground utilities are shown on the Site Plan. 4. The new generator equipment will be screened from Ivy Road.The color of the new generator will be green as shown on Page 2 of this submittal. The set of drawings consist of two sheets including the cover sheet and site layout. The Site Plan shows the limited amount of exterior work to be performed.
