SP-90-50 Donnie R. or Catherine Dunn, Route 601 - This request should not result in any flooding to Route 601 due to the construction of the stream crossing. 4. SP-90-53 John E. & Karin L. Slough, Route 20 N. - This request should not result in any flooding to Route 20 N. due to the construction of the stream crossing. The entrance for the property is under permit. The Department recommends that before approval of this request is granted, the clearing and grading to be done along Route 20 for the sight distance is completed since the entrance has limited sight distance in both directions. 5. SP-90-55 James H. & Sue H. Willis, Route 250 W. - This request will result in an increase in traffic. Based on 30 children, there could be approximately 150 additional VPD generated. The existing private entrance to this property on Route 637 is within 50 feet of the edge of pavement of Route 250. The Department recommends that access for this private entrance be limited only to the existing residence and that none of the day care traffic be allowed to use this entrance. Otherwise, the Department recommends that all access be to the commercial entrance on Route 250 east of the intersection with Route 637. The existing private entrance, if it remains open to serve the house, needs to have some tree trimming done to the west to obtain sight distance. The Department recommends a 100 foot long taper lane on Route 250 for the new commercial entrance. 6. ZMA-90-08 7oodbriar Associates, Route 29 N. - Austin Drive and Briarwood Drive were sized to accommodate certain traffic volumes based on the road layout approved for this subdivision. Deletion of the part of Briarwood Drive not constructed that connects with Route 29 to the south, could affect the traffic volumes on the sections of Austin Drive and Briarwood Drive already in the State system. Page 3 June 21, 1990 Mr. Ronald Keeler Special Use Permits & Rezonings Therefore, a revised traffic analysis for this subdivision will need to be done so that it can be determined with the deletion of this section of Briarwood Drive whether there would need to be any changes to the other roads within the subdivision. This request is for the deletion for the bonding requirement for the rest of Briarwood Drive, which possibly could mean the deletion of the road. Should the bonding be deleted and the previous road plans become void, then whenever Briarwood Drive was resubmitted for approval, it would have to meet the current design standards which are different from those under which the road has already been approved. The Department is against this request should the deletion of the bond result in the deletion of the remaining part of Briarwood Drive. Yours truly, . g,1„2 J. A. Echols Ass' t.
